Alice Bellot - osteopath
I graduated from the European School of Osteopathy, Maidstone, U.K. after a 4 year full time course. It was one of the first schools in Europe and has a renowned international reputation.
I worked in France then in the Republic of Ireland before settling in Spain. Working in different practices in different countries gave me the possibility to meet patients of all ages (6 days old to 89 years old), of different cultures and customs (Latin and Anglo-Saxon), each coming with different medical history and complaint.
All this combined to expend my experience and osteopathic knowledge. I am registered with the Registro de Osteopatas de Espana, the Spanish register.

What does osteopathy treat ?
Osteopaths adapt and modify their treatment techniques depending on each patient, taking into account his/her age, medical history, presented complaint and other factors belonging only to one self.-
Treatments
Our environment plays a fundamental role on our state of health: emotional health (stress from work or from home or other…) as well as physical stress (diet, sport, pollution…).
Each treatment is specific to an individual and not to a condition. Osteopaths don’t only treat symptoms of a person but the cause of these symptoms.

1
Babies and children
It is not necessary to wait for symptoms to develop in order to bring a baby to the osteopath; the sooner the treatment is the more efficient it should be. A baby can be seen by the osteopath in his first weeks.
-
2
Adults
Pregnant women and after delivery, sportsmen/women, elderly people, etc.
-
3
Pregnant women or after birth
It is preferable to make sure that the pelvis and sacrum have sufficient mobility to allow an easier delivery. After labor, osteopathy uses soft techniques (functional and cranial techniques) in order to restore mobility and give a quality to tissues.

Sportsmen/women
Osteopathy will treat the problematic area specifically but also reintegrate it within the whole biomechanics of the body in order for the body to have a faster recovery. Complaints most commonly presented are: ligamentous and/or muscular pain, tennis and golfer’s elbows, tendinitis, foot, ankle, knee, shoulder, wrist pain…
